Exploring our accepted notion of a clock, and of the passage of time itself, the Fulfillment Clock dispenses with conventional measures like seconds, minutes, hours, or days in favor of one 72-year-long revolution modeled on the average human lifespan.
Fulfillment Clock for Nooka
Commissioned by Nooka to build a clock for the heart, Todd Bracher Studio developed Fulfillment Clock as a pendant, made to be worn over the heart. Its transparent face, inspired by Cartier’s legendary mystery clocks, allows the wearer to read the clock from either side. An optimist, watching from the front, sees the clock tick forward as her life progresses. A pessimist, watching from the back, sees the clock count down to the end of her life.
